Fitness in Crowborough for 2012

Christmas and the excess consumption of calories is but a distant memory, as are the New Year's resolutions many of us vowed we would 'definitely' stick to this year!

So, to try and kickstart Crowborough into getting fit again, we've compiled a list of venues to visit so, come summer and your beach holidays, you'll be looking great and feeling ever better!

Freedom Leisure Centre in Crowborough

A one-stop-shop for all your fitness needs. The leisure centre, on Eridge Road, has a 25m swimming pool, large gym and health suite of a sauna and steam room. It also offers exercise classes and has a sports hall for badminton and 5-a-side football.

For parents there is a creche where you can leave the children as you work out, and a cafe to kick back and relax in after a hard session.

Vision Academy

The martial arts academy is based at Crowborough Leisure Centre, on Eridge Road, and offers a host of classes.

There is Taekwon-do, Kettlebells, TKD Tigers and Tactical Edge classes all on offer. Organisers say they hold 'sessions that help the whole family to achieve a great balance'.

Boars Head Golf Centre

Get into the swing of things at Boars Head Golf Centre - its pay and play course is well designed and surrounded by beautiful country scenery.

It also has a floodlit driving range if you just want to practice your tee-off - with prices very reasonable, starting at just £13 for 9 holes.

Teresa Sedge Pilates and Sports Therapy

Limber up in 2012 with a spot of Pilates tuition. It's on offer as one-to-one or in groups. People can also have sports therapy massage for either 30mins or 1hour in the comfort of their own homes.

Isenhurst Country Club, 

This club has venues in Cross-in-Hand, Uckfield and Crowborough - offering a cracking gym, dance studio, sunbeds, sauna and aerobics classes.
