Have today discovered the best place for lunch in Crowborough by far. Excellent menu with lots of choice and wine too. Staff friendly, great atmosphere will definately be back. Recommend to all.

This brilliantly authentic Sherlock Holmes themed café/bar has been in business for 2 ½ years under the ownership of Kate and Nigel Shaw. At Café Baskerville they offer you an exquisite range of fresh sandwiches and meals to enjoy in or takeout, featuring a delicious range of cooked breakfasts and grills. A fully licensed bar selling alcohol from 8am-midnight they also put on French and Italian themed evenings and caters for private functions.
Not sure how anyone can prefer the old cafe..........more of a greasy spoon with greasy being the optional word!
The new owners have put their own stamp on the shop, one I believe a well respected chef, My husband and myself know that we can now get a well cooked meal from good fresh ingredients plus childrens dishes or just a pot of tea and a cake, the bread pudding is worth going in for!
Well done

I regularly have a nice sit down and pot of tea here. It is a traditional cafe but also offers your cappucinos and whatnot. Lunch and evening meals are jolly nice too, cooked with fresh ingredients, it offers a bistro menu. The grandchildren are also fans of the milkshakes and icecream.
