The Met Police have scaled back their stop and search activity because their stop to arrest ratio was less than 6% and it was causing community tensions.
Why then does Sussex Police think that stopping 7253 people (in their cars) and arresting 192 with a stop to arrest ration of less than 3% is perfectly acceptable and causes no community tensions.
Does the Police consider stopping Sussex residents less important than stopping London residents or do they take into account that we are less likely to riot so they can take liberties with our freedoms but not with other ethnic groups in London.
Double standards.
