The Town Council website has the Fairtrade logo on its home page.
Unfortunately its not the official logo as it doesnt show the r for registered trademark on it.
According to this http://tinyurl.com/7r3m4lx
this logo should only be used on goods .
People could get into trouble for using trademarks without getting the trademark holders permission before plastering it on their website.Still I am sure the website designer has adequate insurance to cover such things.

Not sure I care about the logo, in fact I care about it as much as I care about Fairtrade in the first place!

Just why are we a Fairtrade town? Who makes that decision? Who cares?

Precisely it means absolutely nothing but the fact remains that web sites shouldnt display trademarks that they do not have the owners permission to use.
If its ok for the council to do it presumably its open game on the council logo to be used and misused as we please.
In fact I am thinking of launching a spoof council website using their logo with
the words Crowborough Town Council -Screw!ng the local community.
