There's currently a campaign to get faster broad band in the area.

With regards to internet speeds in the area, it's really a hit and miss as to where you live! You can be on one side of the street and get 15Mb/s, but live a few doors down and get only 2Mb/s. That's the nature of most smaller towns over the big city. Check out: http://tinyurl.com/7343yqx
As for public WiFi, there is the "Old Firestation" that offers free WiFi. Very nice and atmospheric coffee shop. I'm not really aware of much else in the town.
As for the commute to London, there's a direct train to and from London Bridge every hour, that takes just over an hour. It's generally easy to get a seat in the mornings, thanks to being only the 3rd stop. However, hometime can be a brutal free-for all, as alot of folk cram the train due to it being a fast train to East Croydon.
Hope this helps

I am confused! The Chamber of Commerce are saying that BT Infinity's rollout in Crowborough has been delayed. However BTs website says that the exchange will be enabled in March. Which is correct?
If memort serves me right Crowborough was one of the first exchanges to get enabled for Broadband are we dropping behind now or not?
Maybe the Courier could get a definite answer from BT?
