With all the jumping up and down over the Stephen Lawrence trial and sentences lets remember victims of terrible crimes nearer to home.
Lets remember Wendy Knell and Caroline Pearce who were both murdered
in 1987 just 7 miles away from us in Royal Tunbridge Wells.There has been no justice for the families of these two young girls and Kent Police seems to be totally lacking the will and competence to find the murderer.There are no political campaigns by vocal interest groups for them -they have both been forgotten about.How different it would have been I am sure if these two girls came from a minority ethnic group.
Murder is murder regardless of what colour the victim was and the same efforts should be made to find the murderer of these two local girls as have been made to convict the murderers of Stephen Lawrence.
