Where can I find out the council tax bands / costs for Crowborough? We're on the cusp of moving there, dont really want to be spending a fortune to subsidise some fat bureaucrats lifestyle(s).

If your looking for low council tax bands then Crowborough is not for you.

The bands can be found on the Wealden DC website .

Just to inform you our council tax freeze last year resulted in the Town Council element going up by 13% to help fund all the looney tunes projects the unelected undemocratic corrupt Town Council dreams up .

And of course if you read the Courier you'll find that the Town Council are proposing another increase for the coming year. It might only be 1.8% buts its 1.8% more than most of us are getting in pay rises!

Hopefully the council will come to their senses and realise the residents are not here to be milked dry.

As for Wealden and East Sussex they will maintain (with some justification I believe) that they are poorly treated by the government when it somes to distributing funds and the income they receive from the Government is not representative of the costs of providing services in a rural area. However they do appear to be freezing their council tax requirements.
